Belgian branch of JM AB, JM Construction S.A. has reached an agreement with Amber Holding N.V. to buy 50 % of the shares in Merbraine I S.A.
This acquisition gives JM the opportunity to play an active role in the development of a brand new and sustainable residential quarter on 10 ha of land in Braine l’Alleud, south of Brussels.
The development will be carried out by JM in association with Lupton S.A. and work to obtain the approval of new urban plans for the area is underway .
JM foresees its first construction start for 2009.

This acquisition strengthens JM’s position in the residential market in Brussels and its southern catchment area raising its stock of homes under development in Belgium to between 1200 and 1500 units.
